Honoring Susan Hoke Lambeth
Join Summer Classics in supporting ovarian cancer research at UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center
|This year, more the 22,000 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and 14,000 will succumb to the disease. Ovarian cancer will affect women across all races and at every adult stage. Although it is one-tenth as common as breast cancer, the disease is three times more lethal.|
At UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, we are working to discover early detection methods and novel therapies that could revolutionize ovarian cancer treatment for patients. We seek to make transformational change for these women, not incremental.
Our researchers are driven by those, like Susan Hoke Lambeth, whom ovarian cancer has taken too soon. A sales representative for Summer Classics for 17 years, Susan always had a steadfast focus on helping others. Even while battling the disease, she worked tirelessly to raise awareness and funding for ovarian cancer research.
We hope you will join Summer Classics in paying tribute to Susanís courage and commitment to helping others by making a gift to ovarian cancer research at UNC Lineberger. Your donation will help Dr. Vickie Bae-Jump and her lab in their work to better prevent, detect and treat ovarian cancer.
* Note, gifts made via check will not be added to the online total.
